The Society of Law & Sociology (SLS) is a asynchronous Penn State University registered student organization with a few engagement meetings that is optional for members as well as a few that are open to all of the Penn State University community. The Society of Law and Sociology (SLS) core focus is to establish a space for students to connect and share information regarding our two subjects of interest.
Law being how humanity has constructed order and the ability to work in larger groups.
Sociology being the study of social behavior and patterns in human groups.
What is the purpose of The Society of Law and Sociology (SLS) ?
This student run organization was established for the core essence to create opportunity for growth of thought, student awareness of the subjects, student engagement, to be a resource for social support, while creating additional platforms for others to share additional information over our topics.

The philosophy this student organization is that education and knowledge is to be expressed, shared, and analyzed by communication. To explore facts, perspectives, and research with a open mind.
