The Society of Law and Sociology (SLS) is a young Penn State Student Organization (established 2022 November) core focus Is to share scholarly information of the two domains (Law and Sociology) while making student connections at Penn State University. This Registered Student Organization (RSO) is open to all Penn State Campuses however will stay in lines of the Student Affairs rule regarding 50% +1 must be World Campus Students must be maintained.
Mission
To build a community that is focused on sharing scholarly information with others on the two domains of focus (Law and Sociology). To be engaged and with a since of autonomy and integrity to contribute to the ever-growing Information source for other Penn State Students . To show courage in sharing and exploring information and to express generosity and transparency with both members and the Penn State university community .
Vision
The vision for this organization is to be a additional resource for students and a point of sense of connection and community.
Values
The Society of Law and Sociology (SLS) has taken a year of careful consideration to the core values of this student organization. Instead of separate core values over the year of observation each value set was strongly accompanied by another value and so we have taken values as sets.The core displayed values are listed below. Note these set values can be built upon to more than a set of two (like chemistry) however are the core forms displayed.
