Soledad Sanchez Valdez was born in Lima Peru. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts with major in Sculpture by Pontific Catholic University of Peru, and an MFA in Scenic Design from Penn State University.
She designed the set for Penn State Center Stage Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night in 2017, and the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman, directed by Darcy Evans in 2018. Her designs are influenced by the interest in the dramatic space and its interaction with actor and audience.
She is currently Visiting Instructor in Theater Design at University of South Florida.
