Welcome

Who are we?

We are the Stress Psychophysiology Laboratory (SPL) in the Department of Biobehavioral Health at The Pennsylvania State University. Our lab investigates the dynamic physiological, behavioral, and psychological features of naturalistic stress and their impacts on health using mobile sensors.

What do we do?

We are currently working on a study related to the threat of potential infection and neurobehavioral responses to social stimuli. We use mobile sensors to measure EEG, ECG, ICG, and more. Please see the Research tab for more info on our current projects and methods.

Why does this matter?

This work is important because we examine vital parts of our everyday lives, such as stress cycles, threat of infection, and social decision making through a multidisciplinary (biological, physiological, psychological) lens.
