NIDCD’s training goal is to increase the number, quality, and diversity of well-prepared and skilled investigators in all areas supported by the institute, including AAC. NIDCD supports interdisciplinary teams of clinicians and basic scientists, and “aims to foster the next generation of productive, creative, innovative, and qualified scientists in basic, clinical, and translational research.”
Funding is supported at the individual and institutional level, and through predoctoral and postdoctoral training.

- Awards are made to the individual and managed by the individual’s institution on his/her behalf
