Divya Deshpande

Divya DeshpandeI am third year doctoral student in SPLED studying mathematics instruction for students with learning disabilities.  I’m especially interested in students in middle and high school and in issues of school inequity. Prior to my current role, I taught for 7 years, in CT and NYC (Bronx) primarily as a special education coteacher in middle and high school math classrooms with some experiences in self-contained settings.  I’ve been very lucky to be able to work with students in nearly every grade and in private and inner city public and charter school settings.   I hold an MSEd from Touro College in NY and a BA in Economics from NYU.

Dissertation Chair: Dr. Paul Riccomini
