and International Symposium on Room Acoustics 2019 (ISRA) in Amsterdam! Matthew presented at both, winning a Young Acousticians Award at ISRA.
Michelle co-chaired sessions at both conferences with Stefan Weinzierl. After the conferences, Matthew and Michelle attended performances at a few concert halls in Germany & Austria – without taking measurements!!!
Matthew confirmed that, indeed, when choosing content to listen to in world-renowned halls, orchestral performances are more appealing to the ear than repeated sine sweeps.
