Thomas E. Spratt Professor
Dr. Spratt is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Penn State Hershey. He is also a member of the Penn State Cancer Institute. He completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at the University of Rochester in 1978 and his Ph.D. in Bio-organic chemistry from the University of Chicago in 1985. He had postdoctoral fellowships at Ohio State in 1986 and at the American Health Foundation in 1988. He became a principle investigator at the American Health Foundation in 1992 and joined the faculty at Penn State in 2004. He is involved in the Chemical Toxicology Division of the American Chemical Society where he was elected Secretary from 2007-2011, and is currently chair of the Program Committee.
