BIKE TO SCHOOL
The main goal of this project is to reuse the existing alley at Darley Park to provide a safe environment to connect schools and children. Increase safety is the priority for alleys within the Darley Parks in which reduce the crime rate, reduce the behavior of littering. Promote healthy lifestyles for the community. Increase social engagement between neighborhoods. Improve existing paving systems to provide better water drainage systems. Enhance the green infrastructures green the space that helps increase the canopy coverage in the Baltimore city. This project has involved multi-parties and the community’s development process. To build up the partnership between different parties such as the Baltimore City Department of Transportation, Baltimore Toward ZERO program (a Pedestrian Safety enhancement program), and Baltimore Ecosystem Study to create more greenery spaces to provide financial support and funding.
