Muhammad Thalil, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Center for Healthy Aging at Penn State. His current research with Dr. Soomi Lee focuses on the bio-behavioral processes that mediate the influence of sleep health on chronic pain among middle-aged and older adults. Dr. Thalil holds a Ph.D. in Demography and Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences, India. He has worked with various large-scale survey data in the South Asian context, focusing on the behavioral, socioeconomic, and health-related factors contributing to poor health outcomes, such as functional difficulty, pain, sleep problems, depression, and cognitive impairment in older adults.
