- “Open Design for Digital Publishing and Remix” – Michael will introduce the ways open and independent digital publishing of learning knowledge could transform society yet again. His talk focuses on version controlled git-based authoring workflows, the future role of OER Schema for remix in education, and the challenges facing OER publishing. This talk aims to galvanize support around open design principles for pedagogy and digital learning.

- “The End of the Web as We Knew It.” – Bryan will introduce exciting technology called Web Components that promise to alter the way websites and web applications are developed. He will also show how this technology is being used to publish digital course content in a platform called ELMS Learning Network.

- “Building for VR First: Design Thinking and Interactive Environment Design” – This talk is an attempt to explore how we can move beyond a human centered approach to design in order to create experiences that augment and transcend human experience. Doug uses examples of current VR experiences, experimental demos, and research into user behavior to propose a new approach to design theory for VR.

- “Blogging, xAPI, and Gaining Insight into Learner Analytics” – David will provide examples from three different education levels on how he has used blogging to expand insight into student thought processes, connected publishing to learner goals, and leveraged xAPI to assist in the tracking of learner progress and data visualization.”

- “GravCMS – Using a Modern Open-source Flat-file CMS as a Personal Open Platform in Education” – Paul will show you how he is using GravCMS to support online publishing of course content, how he is flipping the LMS, and how he uses Git to create open and collaborative online learning spaces.
