Dr. Spiegelman’s research focuses on understanding the role of mRNA-binding protein IGF2BP1 in various types of cancer, and the developing of new anticancer therapies that target oncogenic mRNA-binding proteins. One of research directions in his laboratory is dedicated to studies of WNT/β-catenin pathway which plays a critical role in normal development, adult stem cells homeostasis and carcinogenesis.
