This might look like your typical Penn State student, but she’s hiding a huge secret from everyone. Millennia is actually the famous SoundCloud rapper, Lil Mill. She’s from Long Island, New York, and travelled a long way to be here at State. Now, you may be wondering how she affords her tuition here, and the answer is her famous rapping skills. 

SoundCloud rappers have been gaining more and more leverage as the years go by, and Millennia definitely falls in with that bunch. She posts anonymously under the name “Lil Mill” and never EVER posts her face. She doesn’t want her identity to be known to the world, at least not yet. She loves music, the money, and just being able to be creative, but she’s scared of what comes with fame. She doesn’t want constant hate from people everywhere, it’s not good for a girl in college especially.

She decided that she has enough on her plate right now and doesn’t need to deal with the fame that would come with revealing her identity. Now, you may be wondering, how does one make it as far as her? How do you actually get fame from being on SoundCloud? Well, for Lil Mill, it was pretty easy. She decided to get on her grind and start by producing some beats she liked in her at home studio. After she produced some sick beats, she began writing some lyrics and just let it all flow. Lil Mill wrote about things she really cared about, while also staying super relatable, and keeping a tight rhythm that appeals to the masses.

SoundCloud is how a lot of rappers find their way up the music chain. It’s a new way for people to stay connected and find some new music. Creating a song, even just for SoundCloud is a lot of time, hard work, and effort. It shocks the few people Lil Mill told  with the amount of work that is needed to be successful. Many people just take it as a joke when they first hear it. Lil Mill isn’t here for music either, she’s here for Hospitality Management. Her major having nothing to do with music is also something that is confusing for many of her friends.

Lil Mill knows that she loves music, but that she also loves management. Management will also be the better breadwinner for her future life. She wants to pursue the better career to ensure she can be exactly where she wants to in her future. She is on her constant grind of music and management throughout her schooling so far. When she went home as well, she also created more beats and lyrics to maintain her anonymous fame. SoundCloud is one of those things you just have to keep up on in order to stay relevant. Lil Mill posts at least once a month at the least, and usually tries to make it weekly to maintain relevancy.

Overall, keeping this secret is difficult throughout college, but she is managing well so far. Working hard in music and school has its challenges, but it seems to be paying off for Lil Mill so far. Being a rapper is hard work, but it’s what she loves doing, so it’s very much worth it for her. The grind never stops in a day in the life of Lil Mill.

This is Nate. Nate looks just like your typical D1 athlete, right? A typical college student just here to study and get his work done. Well, you’d be slightly wrong. Yes, he is a hard working, D1 athlete, college student, BUT he’s also a professional rugby player. Now, you may be thinking, how does he manage that with college? To be honest, it’s pretty hard.

He plays for the Irish national team, which is pretty prestigious. He has practice every day for Penn State, and recorded one on one practices for the Irish team. Not to mention all of the actual coursework he spends time on as well. Not to mention he’s also out of state, which means keeping your grades up is extra important.

He loved Penn State so much that he decided it was worth the extreme time commitment of being a student athlete and a professional athlete. Balancing friends, school, rugby, and a relationship is becoming increasingly hard for Nate. Workouts are intense and leave him exhausted, as does homework. It is hard enough to be a college student, let alone a professional or student athlete.

At the last Penn State rugby practice he had to go to, they did practice drills, including lots of tackling, and his toe got cleated so hard that his toenail is now completely black. Now, this is extremely disgusting, but it shows how physically demanding rugby tends to be. Rugby is one of the roughest sports you can play honestly.

Rugby is a combination of soccer and football, but without any padding. The rules are quite difficult to master, but as a player you have to. Watching a rugby match is one of the most confusing things on the planet, but it’s very entertaining. You have to remember every single play there could be as a student and professional athlete in this game. It’s very mentally and physically demanding.

Being a professional athlete sounds fun until you realize everything that goes into being one. There literally is not a day that goes by where Nate doesn’t do something at least related to rugby. Even with the upcoming break, he has things planned every day that has to do with rugby, including traveling to Ireland to play for his team. It has become a second nature type of thing within his life.

His family and friends especially know that his schedule is just so demanding, that he runs out of time a lot. Nobody other than his team really know about his professional athlete life, though. It is hard for him to explain to most people why he is always so busy, because nobody can really get it unless they’re also in his position. Every day he experiences a struggle that most other college kids don’t.

It becomes extremely difficult for him to balance everything, especially when he has to travel so much. He has to travel with his Irish team and his Penn State team. He’s from out of state so his family seeing him is also extremely difficult at times. He knew it would be difficult, and he’s slowly working through the intensity of his daily regiments. Overall though, Nate wouldn’t have his life any other way, he gets to be at the school he loves, while playing the sport he loves so dearly.

This is Julia, as some of you may already know. Julia seems like just a regular college student to most, but she’s hiding a very big secret from everyone. She’s royalty back in her home country of Brazil. Now, why is she here you may ask? Julia is in the witness protection from assassins in her country.

She came here to the U.S. many years ago in hopes of escaping her fate of death. She is being targeted by a group of anti-governmental Brazilian spies. These people have one mission and one mission only, find the Queen and kill her. They are so against her because her views for the country are far more liberal than theirs.

Being royalty, Julia is very used to always having a target on her back. She always stayed more in the background, though. Until her parents announced she was set to be the Queen very soon, she had been nothing more than the quiet, dutiful daughter behind the King and Queen. She created her own views that were similar, but more newly generational than her parents. Most citizens were very accepting of her views, but others, such as this spy group, were not.

Julia was never one to let other peoples words effect her, she grew a thick skin while being a Princess. She never wanted to leave her beloved country due to somebody else. She was very determined to stay no matter what these people did, but it just became too dangerous. Julia couldn’t even leave her house most days. The spies also tried to steal her mother and marry her off a few times, and the fear was this would be executed on Julia as well. Her parents wanted more for her, so they did what they had to do, and contacted the United States government for help.

They called and asked if they could enroll Julia in the Witness Protection Program for Princesses. The government agreed, and the next day, Julia was enrolled at Penn State as an international student. Nobody second guessed her standing, so she just went with it. Luckily, she learned English many years ago, and she fit right in. Nobody even suspected she wasn’t from the United States.

Not much had changed from her look, except she cut her hair shorter. She didn’t have too big of a problem with this, as she knew it was for her safety. Her roommate was also an assigned body guard to her that is also enrolled here. The Witness Protection Program checks in on her frequently, and campus staff are aware of how careful they must be. It was assumed that since this is such a big campus, she would easily blend in and not be suspected.

This has proven to be true, she’s just a normal college student now, and she likes it very much. Being normal is a breath of fresh air for this Princess. She works, goes to classes, and then just chills in her free time. She has no country to constantly worry about, or assassins, she just gets to live a normal life for awhile. It is unknown on when Julia will actually be able to safely return to her country, but she does know that she is okay with spending her next four years here at Penn State.
