Dr. McPhillips is a Co-PI on a new grant under Penn State’s University Strategic Initiatives program called “Greening our stormwater: using campuses as living labs for green stormwater infrastructure”. The project is led by Dr. Hong Wu from Penn State Landscape Architecture, and involves colleagues in Agricultural Economics, Civil Engineering at Penn State- Harrisburg, the Energy and Environmental Sustainability Lab, and community partners. We look forward to kicking this off soon with some water and soil monitoring of green stormwater infrastructure on Penn State’s University Park campus! The project aims to enhance research of green stormwater infrastructure on Penn State’s campuses, and better integrate this work into classes and develop new training opportunities.
