About

Formed in 2019, the Student Philanthropy Network began during a philanthropy renaissance at Penn State. Inspired by some of the most successful years of fundraising in the history of the university, a group of students joined together to celebrate and share the role and importance of giving back to Penn State. The organization they created has a simple mission:

Educate and engage current students in the University’s philanthropic culture while cultivating leaders through exposure to the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR), as well as other professional development opportunities. Student Philanthropy Network strives to create positive giving experiences through events, fundraising campaigns, and University traditions like the Class Gift Campaign, to foster a lasting philanthropic spirit in the heart of every Penn Stater.

Student Philanthropy Network’s showcases philanthropy and encourages students to contribute give back to their beloved alma mater institution. Through campus-wide events, giving challenges, and raising awareness about philanthropic activities and fundraising platforms, the Student Philanthropy Network offers a diverse array of opportunities for both its members and the Penn State community at large to enhance their university experience.
