Innovations and Interconnections

The students in this course (IST402-005) consider the under-explored dimensions of technology. By looking at a technology through the lenses of history, place, materiality, culture, embodiment, and representation, students gain a new understanding of the ways that technology is shaped by and gives shape to the social, natural, and built worlds.

Each semester, students undertake a group project that externalizes their new perspectives. This site is one way that the students in the class can share their work. Some semesters we also may share the artifacts from our group and individual learning in public showcases, open houses, and galleries.
