Anisa Callis

Hi! I’m Anisa and this is what my binary pattern represents. Towards the middle of class, we had to choose our two colors for our bags that represent our identities. I chose blue for Penn State because being a Penn State Student is probably the biggest part of my life. I chose red as my second color to represent family and friendships throughout my life.

This audio will better inform you of how we havve learned about cellphones in this class and how my view of them and their integration into our life has changed.

Here is the pattern that we were using to create our bags:

Each square represents the binary code for our 128 character messages. Each week, we had to put what we learned in the class into 128 characters. As the weeks went on we were asked to make a representation in 128 characters of the whole class. Here is what mine says:

Time, the rhythm of our lives entwined with phones, guides representations, physical & nonphysical reach, & changing cultural norms & values

As the class progessed, we also experimented with AI, using AI as an art form to see what our projects would look like once they were completed. Below you can see the AI completed version vs my final crocheted version of the bag.
