- March 2018 – Consulted on a sustainability-related, climate change-themed puppet show that the college will put on November 2018.
- March 2018 – Hosted “Sustainable Food Systems: Commonwealth Campus Expansion,” led by AmeriCorps member, Katrina Weakland.
- April 2018 – Hosted “Coming Alive: Environmental Protest and the Dakota Access Pipeline,” environmentalist and author Taylor Brorby.
- April 2018 – Hosted the 3rd Annual Spring Run Cleanup, pulling 23 bags of trash and other large objects out of Spring Run.
- April 2018 – Partnered with the Apartment Store at Nittany Pointe to collect 55 bags of trash from a neighboring tree lined property.
- April 2018 – Hosted the 3rd Annual Earth Week Birding Classic with partners from the Juniata Valley Audubon Society.
- May 2018 – Began Phase I of the Pollinator Habitat at the Seminar Forest meadow area.
- September 2018 – Co-sponsored Mike Branch’s, “How to Cuss in Western,” reading with Environmental Studies.
- September 2018 – Hosted a JVAS forest walk showing members what their generous Birding Classic donation will support in the areas of bird conservation and sustainability initiatives.
- September 2018 – Hosted Family Weekend Thoreau cabin and Sustainability talk at the Seminar Forest.
- October 2018 – Hosted “Cabin Fever” Fridays at the Thoreau Cabin, Seminar Forest during the month of October.
