Join us in our commitment to turn childhood dreams into reality by supporting THON™. Our Organization, Society of Women Engineers, is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni supporters in the fight against childhood cancer. Our year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand–all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.
Each year, our organization is paired with Four Diamonds Families who become our reason to THON. SWE has been lucky enough to be paired with an amazing family with wonderful children who make our fight against childhood cancer even more important.
The Sullivan Family has been paired with SWE for eight years now and has really become a part of our family. Jhonen was diagnosed with leukemia but won his battle having his last treatment in December of 2015. He has now been in remission for over 5 years! Jhonen is now 11 years old and the most energetic ball of fun you’ll ever meet. He loves drawing and spending time with SWE girls whenever we get to visit.
