I study the changes in interplay of local tissue mechanics and tendon cell behaviour caused by fatigue loading in tendon explant models with the aim of understanding the cause of damage and degeneration in tendinopathic tissues. I am interested in the biomechanics of musculoskeletal elements starting from cellular level to organ level.

When I am not researching tendons, I am discovering new hobbies. Current hobbies include noodling on the guitar, cooking, skiing, tennis, painting, making and flying RC planes, and, collecting and playing with skills toys (yoyos, kendama, juggling, etc).
