Project number four is finally complete – well at least the Fusion file is. This project was created with the least amount of planning only because of the time restraints towards the end of the course. I originally wanted to incorporate my 3D apple into the router but the software wouldn’t allow me to manipulate it like I had hoped. My goal was to still produce something creative with a thought so I chose shapes. Fusion allows for incorporation of some interesting objects so I worked with five. Ultimately, I followed the guidelines for this CNC Router as far as size but manipulated the components in the way that I liked. I decided to include my shoe from project two. The illusion here was that the shoes took walk through this maze of shapes. It’s different and not my best but it’s done and I’m happy with it.

For project number three, I again intended to make an object that had some meaning to me, one that wouldn’t go to waste. Sticking with the previous theme, I chose to make a 3D Apple as I am an Education major. I drew my inspiration from the company Apple and their well known logo. I wanted it to appear as if someone had taken a bite from the apple. In Fusion 360, I utilized the skills I learned from the previous project but had to learn a few more tricks. I was instructed on the skill of combining shapes and cutting, resulting in precise ‘cuts’ in my form. It was important that my piece was organic looking and as realistic as possible. I also had to ensure the object could sit on a flat surface so I made the bottom straight. Again this piece was a challenge but one that I enjoyed.
