MODULE CATEGORIES

Sustainability

Among the goals of General Education at Penn State is to prepare our students to be active citizens. General Education courses can help to promote this objective by including modules in their curses that address specific aspects of civic engagement such as the goal of sustainability.

Civic Life

General Education at Penn State provides the literacies and ethical framework for students to participate meaningfully in civic life. Annual civic celebrations and events provide instructors with an exigence to explore dimensions of civic involvement. Click here for engaged teaching ideas on civic themes.

Justice & Rights

The general education curriculum at Penn State prepares students to live and work in a diverse society.  Through course work, programs and annual events civic engagement opportunities exist for faculty to include justice and rights themes into their curriculum.
