Student Affairs Information Technology
All Student Affairs staff,
The holiday season is nearing and we in Student Affairs Information Technology (SAIT) wish each of you a happy and safe holiday season.
In preparation for possible power outages over break, we are asking you to power off your workstation and any printers or copiers in your work area along with UPS and power backups before you leave for break. If there are staff members that have already departed for break, please turn off their equipment if possible. In addition, please lock up or take laptops and portable devices home.
SAIT will be performing maintenance on the Division’s IT infrastructure on Friday, December 23, 2011 and Tuesday, December 27, 2011. During those days, all IT services may experience intermittent outages. Please do not plan any work that requires access to IT services.
Our holiday schedule will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2011 and end at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 with the exception of the above statement. Our emergency contact number during the holiday break is 865-7210 (no change from normal operations).
Status updates concerning these outages can be read on our blog at http://studentaffairsblogs.psu.edu/technology. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact our office at 865-7210 or email@example.com.
