KFujisawaShort Description of Research:The edge rich one-dimensional form of carbon, graphene nanoribbon (GNR) is attracting high attention. Similar to carbon nanotubes, the electronic structure of the GNR varies from metallic to semi-conductive depended on its structure, whereas graphene does not have bandgap. The highly reactive edge-site could be easily modified or decorated by any other atom/molecule, and GNR could interact with them strongly. This research project is aimed to explore novel mass productive and structure controllable way of GNRs.
