Zhong Lin

Zhong LinI am involved in experimental research of two dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), such as MoS2, WS2, WSe2, NbS2, MoTe2, etc. I am pursuing new strategies to synthesize above layered materials. In addition to pristine TMD atomic layers, my interest also lies in the creation of TMD nanostructures in doped, alloyed and heterostructured forms with unprecedented functionalities. State-of-the-art optical techniques, such as Raman spectroscopy, scanning photocurrent microscopy and fluorescence microscopy are employed to characterize the synthesized materials, and to explore their optoelectronic applications that could impact future technology.
