The movies is a place to escape. To live another life. To understand our society, community, each other, and ourselves. Without film our culture would be vastly different. It is for this reason that we must come to appreciate and celebrate the merits of the cinema.

I will introduce various films that I consider to be worth mentioning, many of them being for incredibly different reasons. The films I will talk about are some of my personal favorite films taken from a variety of genres and styles. You may agree or disagree with the films I choose, and I actually encourage you to challenge my views and opinions. We will all definitely not agree on a list of some of the greatest films of all time, but that’s the point of film: to get a reaction out of us.
