This Eagles season has been full of mixed emotions and high expectations. After they won the Super Bowl last year, fans have been anticipating a better performance and outcome than what they’ve been seeing each week.
With key players Jay Ajayi, Lane Johnson, and Ronald Darby all out to injuries, it definitely affected the team’s overall performance. This team has a similar roster as last year; however, there’s no execution. The plays that made them successful last year aren’t working this year.
Some fans are blaming defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz for his play-calling and others are pointing fingers at head coach Doug Pederson. Obviously play-calling is a major issue that has to be solved.
After the nail-biting win over the New York Giants on Nov. 25, many are still keeping the faith while others believe the season to be over.
Despite their record of 5-6, Eagles fans are still bleeding green. Their dedication to this team can be displayed when they belt out the Eagles Fight Song, finishing it off with a loud and passionate “E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!”
With just five games left to play in the regular season, the Eagles have to figure out a way to control the game, rather than taking unnecessary penalties that are driving them farther back from the goal line.
What can we expect from this team come Monday night when they play the beat-up Washington Redskins? Will the Eagles come out on top? We’ll have to tune in to see how it unfolds.
