Amy Dupain Vashaw has been connecting audiences with the arts for almost three decades. For the past 25 years, Vashaw has made her career at Penn State University, first hired as Education Director and subsequently appointed the Audience & Program Development Director for the past 18 years. In this capacity, she has the privilege of working to design multiple points of entry for audiences to connect to the artists and their work. She also works closely with the director to curate the season’s program, with a special emphasis on dance, family and children’s programming, and contemporary circus. She is especially interested in projects that amplify and activate underrepresented voices and the work of artists of color.
