Social Justice Collection

Purpose & Scope:

  • Provide materials about promoting human equality, freedom, and dignity; fostering compassion for others; and the abolition of racism, ableism, classism, gender bias, and other forms of prejudice
  • Encompass a variety of viewpoints about the best ways society can nurture these ideals
  • Include religious, political, social, economic, philosophical, historical titles; generalized or focused on any discipline; macro- or micro- levels
  • Priority given to the teaching, research, and service initiatives in social justice at Penn State Berks, especially to classes that might make the collection part of their curriculum

The purpose of the site is to help students, staff, and faculty promote social justice through their curriculum, campus programs, everyday interactions, and other venues.
