Internet Resource Guide
The purpose of this guide is to educate, inform and persuade first and second year students about the programs and resources available to students with the entrepreneurship option within the business degree. The guide is meant to be simple for the freshman and sophomores that might not understand the terminology. Within and in between the abstracts are sections where things are explained in depth for readers who are new to the business program and Penn State.
My intentions while writing this guide was to help readers either decide if they want to choose the entrepreneurship option, or to help them navigate their way through the degree. Many sections in the guide can be used throughout college and even into the start of the student’s careers/ventures. When I started in my major, I didn’t realize all the resources that were offered to students in my major. This resource guide will help students that might be in the same situation.
Info-graphic
The benefits a student will get from joining a student organization.
In this infographic, I made the assumption that the students are probably still trying to figure out what they want to do throughout their college career.
This infographic will motivate and inform students to act so that they can receive the benefits that come along with student organizations. I encourage them to seek out an organization related to their field of study or their interests. I will refer them to the student civic engagement page for clubs and organizations.
Warren Buffet Leadership Style
I wrote this paper in my “Contemporary skills of a business professional” class.
I documented why Warren Buffet is a great leader. This includes his biography, leadership style, and how he has inspired the world through his philanthropy. I have always been very fond of Warren Buffet. He uses all of his wealth to make the biggest impact in the world possible while still living in the same home that he bought so many years ago. The “Oracle of Omaha” will live on through his legacy for years to come.
In this assignment, we got to choose which leader to write about. I chose Warren Buffet because of his attentive leadership style, his dedication to philanthropy, and his humble approach throughout his life.
