Reported Offense:

An Indecent Assault was reported to the Residence Life Staff on September 28th, 2015. The reported assault allegedly occurred on 09/07/2015 in the Residence Halls (Village Complex) at Penn State Berks. The victim, a student, reported that a “known” male inappropriately touched her without her consent earlier this month.

Location Description:

The incident reportedly occurred in the Village Residence Halls (Village Complex) at Penn State Berks which is located on Clary Drive adjacent to Tulpehocken Road.

Appearance of suspect is reported to be:
Race: White
Sex: Male
Height: 70″
Weight: 150-160
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Age: 18
Additional Description: Suspect is known to the victim. Investigation to continue.
Safety Tips:
  • Get verbal consent from your partner, and don’t assume you know what the other person wants.
  • Don’t feel obligated to do anything you don’t want to. “I don’t want to” is always a good enough reason.
  • Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help.
  • Listen to your partner. If you are getting unclear messages, stop.

It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the University community. It is the duty of the administration to warn of possible “dangerous conditions” on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an “affirmative duty” exists to warn persons associated with the University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties.
