Hey there!
My name is Thomas (TJ) Bartholomew, and I am currently working as a 4th grade teacher at a charter school in the Lehigh Valley. I grew up in Quakertown, PA…a suburb of Philadelphia. After high school, I moved on to complete my undergrad degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. It was there that I earned my teaching certificate in 2016 and packed my bags for my Jacksonville, FL teaching 3rd grade. Two years later, I ended up back in Pennsylvania to teach 5th grade and then eventually 4th grade, which is where I’m at now.
This class, LDT 505, will be my 7th class towards my Master’s Degree in Learning Design and Technology. From this class, I hope to better myself as an educator to continue making positive impacts on today’s learners. As computers become more relevant in the classroom, I want to learn how to harness these technologies in order for students to reach their full potential. The influx of technology into classrooms as a response to the coronavirus pandemic will have lasting impacts, so the challenge of using technology skillfully is something I wish to master.
