Review:

Learning A-Z  is the umbrella above many different divisions of the program.  Beneath Learning A-Z there is Reading A-Z, Raz Plus, Science A-Z, Writing A-Z, Raz Kids, Vocabulary A-Z and Headsprout.  Kids A-Z is the kid-friendly learning portal where the students are able to access their elearning materials assigned by the teacher.  Learning A-Z works towards meeting students at their level and provides content and resources for student advancement.  Our school is utilizing Kids A-Z this school year in an attempt to differentiate and provide a flexible resource for teachers to content to their students.  We use this tool to support with students’ guided reading level.

Learning A-Z and it’s featured program could be classified as an instructive app and a manipulable app.  The program is some drill and skill with the leveled readers, but does also allow for some exploration within the program on the student end.  Further, this program could be classified as a knowledge & skill building app and a learning and teaching support app.  The learning portal allows for the teacher to assign specific skills and resources for students to interact with.  Learning A-Z could fit into a seamless learning framework with the option to interact with the content both in school and at home with a simple login.
