Life is Too Short to Have Boring Hair

Ever since I was twelve years old, I have been constantly dying my hair. While it is definitely not healthy, it is definitely something that is fun and can be taken care of if done correctly. It took me a long time to learn the right way to take care of my hair while still being able to dye it.

I have dyed my hair just about every color in the book. You name it, I’ve probably done it already. My hair has faced unbelievable rounds of bleach and box dye in the last six years. I have dyed my hair 32 times since July of 2016! There are so many layers of dye in my hair and my ends are extremely dead, but it’s not that big of a deal. I have definitely learned what products that you should and shouldn’t use, including the type of dye you are using.

I actually just dyed my hair a few days ago. None of y’all have seen it yet because I am at home this week (because I got my braces off finally!!!), so it is a surprise thing for everyone. I actually went black for the first time, and I absolutely love it!! I’ve never dyed my hair completely black before so I was definitely hesitant.

Now, a question that may be flying through your heads is “32 times?? Is she insane?!” Well, you’d be surprised how many things I do in multiples in my life. I am going to present you a list of all 32 times I have dyed my hair.

While it started off as fun and games, dying my hair is truly something I have grown to love and find the most expression in. My hair has been damaged one too many times but I am trying to find a way to prevent that by using healthier products and finding good hair dye alternatives (such as color-depositing shampoo) in order to ease it down.

Two questions for you all:

  1. If you want to see any other of my infamous hair colors listed, let me know!
  2. Have you ever dyed your hair before?

  1. There was a trend in hair dye a little bit ago in which people dyed the inner layers blond and the outer layers black, I think that could be cool. I have also never dyed my hair. I am too scared to touch it. Although, I have been really into the idea of dying my hair a darker shade of brown.

    1. I definitely recommend doing color-depositing shampoo if you want to test it out without damaging your hair!! It works great and it washes out in a couple of washes 🙂

  2. Two summers ago me and my friends were so determined to dye the under parts of our hair purple and pink, but we never ended up doing it. I love how you have a list of every color you’ve done, and I love how you included pictures!
