I have mentioned her quite a few times in my blogs, but I have a lovely, adorable little sister named Senaiya, but we call her Cece. My family is not even sure she knows her real name. She was quite a surprise in all of our lives, but she is one of the biggest blessings to ever come!
She is going to be two years old on November 24. She was a premature baby, being about two and a half months early, which caused a lot of concern for our family. Despite this being this case, she has proven to be one of the smartest little girls we know. She is quite the Einstein! All of her doctors are extremely surprised with how well she talks for her age and the fact that she was so premature. She loves to dance, sing, and scream like most babies do. She seriously screams super loud in the middle of the night when she is falling asleep because she thinks its funny!
She has this absolutely gorgeous curly, brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. A lot of my friends thinks she looks like me and her mom, but I think she looks more like her dad (and just like his mom)!
Being an only child for 16 years of my life, I was absolutely NOT prepared to be a big sister or play such a caregiving role in my life so early. It has not been easy either. Sometimes when I am watching her I actually break down crying because I cannot handle taking care of a baby. I do not understand how young moms do it but I give them SO much praise and credit for it!! Even moms in general, it is so hard to take care of a child sometimes and I have never felt so unprepared.
Even though it gets hard, I wouldn’t trade these experiences for the world. She is my best friend and I love being with her and watching her grow! I also feel more prepared in life, perhaps when I have my own kids, on what to expect from these cute little monsters.
She is one of the main reasons I am so excited to visit home (almost) every weekend. She brings such a smile to everybody’s face and she is so fun to watch! I think my favorite thing that she does is when we play one of her favorite Cocomelon songs and she starts to sing and dance. She has such funny dance moves and is such a quick learner with songs. I think she is gonna be a singer like her sister!
As crazy as it was when she was born, I would never go back to change it. She is one of the greatest people to ever enter my life; especially during such a hard time for me. She makes the sun shine and the world a better place.
Question for y’all: Do you have any siblings? How many? How old are they?
She is so pretty, I love this post! I have a sister too, but she is just 19 months younger than me, and she will actually be on a plane in a few hours to come visit me! I am so excited, I haven’t seen her since summer! There truly is no bond like that of sisters.
She is beyond adorable! I am the youngest of 5 siblings, so all I know is a full house of people. I think having siblings is one of the greatest gifts! She is so lucky to have you as an older sister, it is the best!!
This post is so sweet! Your little sister is so adorable. I also have a little sister. We are very close in age, she is 17. I couldn’t imagine my life without her. She comes up to visit me pretty frequently.
