A total of 131 people were enrolled in the Transitions Study, between April and September of 2016.

Participants live in 1 of 3 different communities: Liberty Hill, Foxdale Village, and The Village at Penn State.

Participants range in age from 58 to 94 and the average age is 77 years.

64% of the sample is female.

69% of the sample is married, and the average number of years married is 46.

35 couples are enrolled in the study.
