Trash to Treasure 2018 Set for June 2.

The 2018 Trash to Treasure sale will be held Saturday, June 2 at Beaver Stadium. Admission for early bird shoppers is $5 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., and admission is free from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All sales are first-come, first-served, so come early for the best selection of clothing, furniture, electronics, and much more. Shoppers will receive a reusable tote bag, courtesy of Wegmans, to fill for $20. “Best loot” and select items will be priced individually.

Now in its 17th year, the Trash to Treasure sale is made possible by student donations. The average Penn State student living on campus donates nine pounds of usable goods each year, allowing Penn State Housing to divert an average of 68 tons per year from landfills. Money raised from the sale is donated to the Centre County United Way to support over 100 programs offered through their partner agency network.

Hundreds of volunteers are needed to help sort materials and volunteer on sale day. No previous experience is necessary, and volunteers must be 18 years or older. Morning, afternoon, or evening shifts are available for individuals and groups. Volunteer registration opens April 3.
