Introduction Post:
I’m anxious for this course because I’ve had a lot of experience in past roles establishing leadership competency definitions and how to measure them. In my current role, I work with managers and supervisors on how to be effective leaders. Frequently, my work takes me to the leadership competencies that are established at our company so that our managers don’t just know what they are, but what they “look like”. This allows them to visualize what behaviors they need to demonstrate in order to be effective leaders. I’m anxious to see how leadership competencies are defined in this course and how they differ from what I’m used to.
