Schell Lab

The Schell Laboratory investigates the interaction between the immune system and cancer.  Our goals are to understand how tumors escape immune control and to develop novel approaches to achieve immune-mediated elimination of cancer.  We seek to understand how CD8+ “killer” T cells can be harnessed to find and destroy tumors in the body and prevent their recurrence.
