Welcome

CONGRATULATIONS to all of the 2020 winners and a very big THANK YOU to all of those students and their advisors who entered projects into this year’s event!

The Undergraduate Research Subcommittee has announced the 2020 Undergraduate Research Web Showcase award winners for poster projects in each category, oral presentations and the University Libraries Literacy Awards.

“I am so glad to see our 2020 Undergraduate Research Web Showcase was very successful and the great research works of our students in poster and oral formats were enjoyed by everyone. Especially considering we have been under uncertain circumstances, I would like to emphasize it was tremendous and meaningful work that was carried out by the Penn State Scranton community as a whole,” said Dr. Jiyoung Jung, assistant professor of chemistry and the undergraduate research committee coordinator.

About the Virtual Web Showcase

Penn State Scranton students and faculty are forging ahead with their annual Undergraduate Research Fair and Symposium.  With the coronavirus pandemic restrictions preventing our campus from having an on-site event, we’re taking ours virtual!

There will be oral presentations in ZOOM rooms and posters, all set up online for everyone to check out and enjoy. Research awards are given for first and second place in each category — winners will receive monetary prizes in the form of gift cards that will be mailed out to them.

For those not submitting, we are encouraging you “to attend” our first ever virtual research fair and show your support for your fellow students.

WE ARE…RESILIENT!
