ABSTRACT:
The goal of this project was to create an inventory management application for a non-profit organization, Dress For Success Lackawanna located in Scranton, PA. The application will help Dress For Success in managing their inventory and will be able to minimize human error. Dress for Success Lackawanna is part of a worldwide network of over 150 affiliates in 25 countries. Their mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help women thrive in work and life. Based on the issue, we proposed an idea of a web-based application that will them manage their inventory with more efficiency and accuracy. The Dress For Success team also showed interest in implementing a scanner functionality if the time allows. The general requirements are that the application must help solve the issue of high human error and the application must be accessible to people with minimal technology experience.
