ABSTRACT:

Over the course of the semester, our team has done research for an outside client at the Wayne County Arts Alliance for her website, payment processor and YouTube channel. During our research, we have reached out to companies for demos, come up with a reasonable budget for the Art Gallery. and have come up with suggestions to improve her online presence. By reviewing other galleries, we have compared and contrasted Janet Gaglione’s, WCAA director, website. This has brought up potential for areas of growth and ways to improve membership and donation options on the page. With the assistance from her daughter, we have proposed ways to create playlists to the gallery’s YouTube page and come up with a proposed layout for the channel.

ABSTRACT:

Jeff White Trucking approached our team looking for an easier way to log daily intake and perform his billing. He was ready to reclaim the time spent entering data, his employee intake, and all the accompanying details, twice using Excel for invoices and reporting for taxes. He wanted a more automated solution, one that involves all of his individual truckers updating him in real-time, the specificities of their intake and carrier. This has led us to present him with multiple solutions: To use Microsoft Access to create switchboards to update his Excel sheets so he doesn’t have to interact with them. Alternatively, doing away with Excel entirely with a specially made app, turning the project predominantly into the creation of a detailed RFQ form, and the aid we provide to Jeff being the ability to turn his often-ambiguous requests into a specific and legible demand for professional programmers.

ABSTRACT:

The goal of this project was to create an inventory management application for a non-profit organization, Dress For Success Lackawanna located in Scranton, PA. The application will help Dress For Success in managing their inventory and will be able to minimize human error. Dress for Success Lackawanna is part of a worldwide network of over 150 affiliates in 25 countries. Their mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help women thrive in work and life. Based on the issue, we proposed an idea of a web-based application that will them manage their inventory with more efficiency and accuracy. The Dress For Success team also showed interest in implementing a scanner functionality if the time allows. The general requirements are that the application must help solve the issue of high human error and the application must be accessible to people with minimal technology experience.
