Our Mission

The mission of the University Park Allocation Committee (UPAC) is to objectively and effectively allocate a portion of the Student Initiated Fee (SIF) income towards events, travel experiences, equipment, and other items requested by University Park affiliated organizations or individuals that will ultimately enhance student life, add value to the out-of-class experience, and/or improve the educational climate at the University Park campus.

Requesting Funding

Penn State Recognized Student Organizations, organizations operating under a University Affiliate or department, and independent requestors are all eligible to receive funding from UPAC. To request funding from UPAC, drop by the UPAC office in 208 HUB between 9 AM and 5 PM to pick up a funding request form. Fill out the form, attach any necessary supporting documents, and return the form to the office by 5 PM on your submission deadline date. YOU ARE NOT TO START ANY PROCESS THAT WILL COMMIT YOU FINANCIALLY UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR FUNDING.

• December 11th (the last day of classes of the fall semester) is the submission deadline for all Equipment, Media, and Operational funding requests.
• All Program, U.S. Travel, and International Travel requests are due back to the UPAC office at least 40 academic days prior to the first date of your event or travel experience. Deadlines are posted on our Deadline Calendar.
• The UPAC office in 208 HUB is open in person and virtual from 10AM to 4PM, Monday – Thursday and 10AM – 3PM, Friday (Virtual Only) Visit https://linktr.ee/upacpsu to access our virtual office, make an appointment with advisors and other resources!
• Students enrolled in 601, 610, or 611 are not eligible to receive travel funding from UPAC for the 2020-2021 academic year.
