I am eager to begin my life’s journey, seeking to acquire knowledge and discover all that this world has to offer. I hope to one day leave my small town behind for an adventure to the majestic lands of Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, England, and Italy. I long to see the great architecture, art, and culture. Until then, I am just a student trying to achieve the highest goal I have set for myself: to graduate with a Communications degree from Penn State University.
As my college career comes to a close, I find myself on uncertain terrain. Although the future has yet to be written, I am confident I will find a job in journalism, marketing, or public relations. My strong drive and go-getter attitude will help me along my professional journey. I learned that opportunities do not come easy. Even when all seems lost, I won’t give up. Though negative energy may follow me, I will not let it weigh my down from achieving my success.
This journey will not be easy, but I will remain positive. I will tell myself to “Just keep swimming.” Whatever the cost, I will hold my head held high while trying to find my place in the professional world and in life.
