About Me

My name is Vincent Pastore and I am originally from Chester County, PA about 20 miles outside of Philadelphia, however, I currently live at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Central New Jersey where I am stationed for my job in the United States Marine Corps. I have been in the Marine Corps for about 10 and a half years working as a helicopter airframes and hydraulics mechanic on the AH-1W “Supercobra”, and the UH-1Y “Huey”. I started going to Penn State about 4 years ago and I am working towards a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and a busy schedule, I am only able to take 2 classes per semester, so it is taking me longer then I would have liked to get my degree. Fortunately, I’m almost done and I should have my degree within the next year and a half. While I am working on my degree, I am also working on some professional qualifications that will allow me to work on aircraft as a civilian. My goal is to finish my degree, gain as many qualifications as possible, and work for one of the major airline companies in some capacity.

Outside of work and school I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two children, Evelyn, and Vincent. I also enjoy playing sports, spending time with our pets, doing martial arts, and working on some wood working projects, although I am still a novice in this hobby. One goal that I want to focus on is making myself more marketable because I believe it will help me land the job that I truly want. I think that learning how to write resumes, network, and put myself out there will help me get the most out of my current job, and allow me to appeal to future employers which will help me land the job that I truly want.
