The next influencer that I really like is Greg Doucette. He is an IFBB pro bodybuilder in Canada. He holds the record of the bench press record when he was a teen and also the world record for the Heaviest sumo deadlift in one minute. He started to be famous because of analyzing whether other bodybuilders lying about never using gears during their fitness career or not.
Unlike other famous bodybuilders, Greg admits to using PED (such as steroids, and SARMs ) in his career of bodybuilding. This is really rare in the fitness industry because while admitting you are on gear usually results in vituperation and people will say all the result you have is because of those gear. This is not only brave and also important for young generations to know their favorite IG model lots of time are not a natural bodybuilder. I feel like this is extremely important for two reasons. The first one is that while knowing those IG model is on gear, people can understand it is reasonable their own physiques are not as good as the model. Not because normal people didn’t work hard enough or eat right, the gear can place an important role in it as well. The second is that it helps the audience understand more about steroids, even now, lots of people do not sure about the side-effect of it and just use it for a better physique. Greg always tells the audience how it will affect your life if you didn’t use it with a doctor and the potential side-effect people might get.
The next reason I like about Greg is that he is the first one making me understand is okay for people to eat enjoyable food. He let me understand that even healthy food such as nuts contain a lot of calories, if we eat a lot of them still going to make us fat. It is an important lesson for me because it helps me make a wiser decision in deciding my diet. It has become so much easier for me to eat, and I can eat basically everything I want when I track the calories I consume.
