Homecoming 2023 Events
Virtual Events
In-person Events
- Oct 9 @ 7:00 PM – Student/Faculty/Alumni Mixer- Come out and connect with students/faculty/alumni for all different majors and degree programs. This virtual mixer experience is hosted through Gather’s immersive web-conferencing platform. A Gather event is designed to simulate an in-person reception or networking event by allowing participants to roam, mix, and mingle in various virtual rooms and spaces.
- Oct 10 @ 7:00 PM – Paint Night- Active Minds present Homecoming’s guided painting session reflecting on Illuminating the Lion Within hosted by WC Alumni Lance Rautzhan. The material list will be emailed to those who register a few days before the event.
- Oct 11 @ 7:00 PM – Mixology Night – A fun interactive event where you can make a WC Homecoming Signature Mocktail or Cocktail with three options to choose from. Recipes will be emailed to those who register a few days before the event.
- Oct 12 @ 7:00 PM- Virtual Escape Room – The living dead have taken over Thursday Night Live with a special Homecoming Zombie-themed escape room. You can come alone or meet up with a team from 7:00 PM to the last chance to get started at 8:30. Work together with others in this fun virtual setting to save yourselves and maybe even Homecoming.
- Oct 13 @ 11:00 AM – Court Recognition Ceremony at the Outreach Building in Innovation Park – Come out and help us honor the 2023 WC Homecoming Court. This hybrid event will be live-streamed, and a link will be emailed to those who register.
- Oct 13 @ 1:00 PM Alumni Associations Ice Cream Social at Hintz Alumni Centre – The Homecoming Ice Cream Social is an event all students, alumni, and members of the Penn State community are welcome to attend. Berkey Creamery ice cream, music, and Alumni Blue Band performances. (Has its own registry, and link is now active – https://web.cvent.com/event/14109fc0-cc25-4534-a724-4e5601aaf6d2/summary)
- Oct 13 @ 6:00 PM Homecoming parade – Court members and many World Campus students and Student organizations will be participating in the parade. This hybrid event will be live-streamed, and a link will be emailed to those who register.
- Oct 14 @ 11:00 AM World Campus Student Government Association presents WC Homecoming’s Tailgate at Medlar Field – Registration for this event is required.
