In the technology industry, budget cuts, lack of resources, and the breakneck pace of technological advancement put pressure on professionals to do more with less. During this presentation I will discuss how using the right tools can maximize a technologist’s effectiveness by allowing them to accomplish more in less time. I’ll give a brief introduction to regular expressions (regex) and explain how regex – as well as other tools and techniques — can be the difference between success and failure.
Mike Salvatore is a tech lead and security engineer on the Ubuntu Security Team at Canonical. He is passionate about all things “security” and spends much of his free time learning all that he can.
