Are you thinking of applying to Penn State? Or, have you already applied and now want to learn more about academics, our campuses, or student life? Whether you’ve submitted an application or just want to know more about Penn State, our online chats are a great resource to get more acquainted with the university.
From October through April, admissions counselors log on to chat with students from across the globe and answer any questions they may have about Penn State and the admissions process. Current Penn State students are also available during the chat to answer questions about what it’s like to be a Penn State Nittany Lion, what majors they’re studying, what housing is like , and more. We’ll also have representatives from our various campuses and academic colleges to chat, along with staff from our Housing Office.
The online chats give counselors like me in the Undergraduate Admissions Office a chance to hear from future Penn Staters, and we look forward to answering any questions you may have. Our first online chat for domestic students is Tuesday, September 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and the first chat for international students is Wednesday, September 19 from 4-8 p.m. EST. Just before the chat begins, you’ll be able to create a chat screenname and log in as a participant from the admissions website: http://admissions.psu.edu/info/chats/. Feel free to log in anytime during the four-hour chat.
In the meantime, we invite you to explore the rest of our Admissions website for international students and first-year students Here you can find information about deadlines, English proficiency requirements, what documents we require from your high school or college, and future online chats. We are now accepting applications for summer and fall 2013.
We hope to chat with you soon!
