Visit Penn State and get an application fee waiver!

College application season is upon us, which means wading through all of the essays, admissions requirements, and deadlines – in addition to keeping up with your classes and activities. And if you are applying to a number of colleges that also means you might end up paying a good chunk of change in application fees.

If you are thinking about applying to Penn State, we have some good news – we want to waive your application fee, and all you have to do is visit Penn State! That’s right – you can spend a few hours having fun and learning about Penn State, and then you can apply to Penn State for free.

If you visit a Penn State campus, other than University Park*, then you have the opportunity to get a fee waiver for your application. You can choose to visit one – or more – of our 19 campuses across the state of Pennsylvania to learn more about Penn State and the unique opportunities available at each campus. Check out our website to choose a campus, review the visitation calendar, and schedule a visit.

And, it’s not too late to take part in Penn State Days at many of our campuses – the open house programs that provide you with valuable information on degree programs, admission strategies, financial aid opportunities, and housing options. Visit openhouse.psu.edu to learn more about the remaining Penn State Days events and to register.

When you decide what campus or campuses you want to visit, contact that campus for more information about your visit and this fee waiver opportunity. We look forward to seeing you at one of our campuses this fall, and we are thrilled that you are interested in applying to Penn State. Should you have further questions about visiting or the application process, do not hesitate to contact us.

Best of luck to you during this busy and sometimes stressful college application season!

*Note: Fee waiver is not available to students who visit only the University Park campus.
